The Department of the Interior and Local Government XI (DILG XI) and the Social Security System (SSS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for social security coverage of DILG’s own job order or contract of service workers today, 18 July 2023, at DILG XI Conference Room.

The partnership was entered into by, for DILG XI, Director Alex C. CESO V, and for SSS, by Ms. Mary Ellen A. Estoque, Acting Vice President, Division Head, Mindanao South I Division. Witnesses were Atty. Bernmarie D. Gentiles, Chief/DILG XI Regional Legal Service Unit, and Ms. Maren Eema Estralla, Branch head, SSS Davao-Ilustre Branch.

KaltaSSS-Collect Program, now known as KaSSSanga Collect Program, is a salary deduction scheme to facilitate social security coverage of, and contribution collection from, self- employed members of the SSS engaged by government. It is mandatory to all government COS and JO workers who are not coverable under the GSIS. Permanent employees are also encouraged to be voluntary members.

Also present during the signing were DILG XI Regional Office personnel, COS and JOs, as well as representatives from DILG XI Provincial/City Offices.
