RDRRMC XI Caps Off National Disaster Month Celebration

To conclude the celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XI, through the Office of Civil Defense RO XI, held a culmination program on July 31, 2023, at the Apo View Hotel, Davao City.

The said culmination program gave recognition to several Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) that have implemented programs geared towards attaining disaster resilience.

DILG XI Regional Director Alex C. Roldan, Vice Chairperson for Disaster Preparedness, RDRRMC XI, in his opening remarks, recognized the remarkable efforts and resolute commitment of all stakeholders who dedicated their lives to protecting and uplifting the communities of Region XI.

Furthermore, he emphasized that this year’s theme: “BIDANG Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-Being towards Disaster Resilience,” celebrates the collective strength and resilience of the Filipino people, rising above the challenges with unwavering determination.

DILG Rehiyon Onse shall continue to implement programs that shall strengthen disaster resilience among LGUs and encourage communities to be proactive in preventing and mitigating risk. For a safer, stronger, and more prepared nation.
