The Office of Project Development Services (OPDS), Through the PDMU, Conducted the FY 2024 SubayBAYANI Awards Validation in the Municipality of Montevista, Davao de Oro

The Office of Project Development Services (OPDS), through the PDMU, conducted the FY 2024 SubayBAYANI Awards Validation in the Municipality of Montevista, Davao de Oro on October 28, 2024.

The SubayBAYANI Awards is the Department’s flagship recognition program focusing on local governments’ infrastructure governance initiatives that help build thriving communities. This year, the assessment process is being enhanced by incorporating stories of transformational change experienced by communities benefiting from local government units’ various infrastructure projects into the selection criteria.

In Davao Region, only the Municipality of Montevista was shortlisted, featuring the Concreting of the Farm-to-Market Road which includes 100 linear meters of concrete road, a 15-meter overflow cross-drain structure, 60 meters of guard rails on the left side, and a 70-meter line canal on the right side under FY 2022 SBDP.

The validation team was composed of Atty. Ian Kenneth B. Lucero, ARD of DILG VII, Engr. Joemily M. Felicano from OPDS, and Engr. Ramil R. Medina, a representative from PICE. They were accompanied by PDMU Staff Maria Farah D. Caralos and Daphne S. Sumalpong.
