DILG Davao City Launches Local Governance Resource Center

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Davao City officially launched its Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) on July 13, 2026 at the Davao City Library and Information Center, marking a significant milestone in strengthening knowledge management and promoting evidence-based local governance in the city.

The launching was led by DILG Davao City City Director Mika-Chan B. Mactulis, CESO V together with the DILG Davao City Team. The event was graced by DILG Region XI Regional Director Abdullah V. Matalam and Assistant Regional Director Charissa T. Guerta, CESO V, whose presence underscored the Department’s commitment to enhancing access to governance knowledge and capacity development resources.

Regional Milestone Achieved: With the establishment of the DILG Davao City LGRC, DILG Region XI has now successfully established Local Governance Resource Centers in all provinces and the highly urbanized city of the Davao Region, further strengthening the Regional Local Governance Resource Center (LGRRC) network and expanding access to governance knowledge, learning resources, and capacity development opportunities for local government stakeholders.
