The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) XI successfully conducted the Data Repopulation Workshop on the Capacity Development Analytics System (CapDevAS) for DILG Field Operating Units (FOUs) at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City. The activity brought together all DILG Field Operating Units to repopulate and validate governance assessment results, ensuring complete, accurate, and reliable data for evidence-based planning.

CapDevAS is the DILG’s centralized digital platform for consolidating governance assessment results and documenting capacity development interventions implemented across LGUs. By integrating data from various governance assessment tools, including the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), the system provides a comprehensive picture of local governance performance, enabling the Department to identify gaps, monitor intervention outcomes, and prioritize technical assistance.

During the workshop, DILG Provincial/City Focal Persons and C/MLGOOs encoded and validated governance assessment results from their respective provinces, cities, and municipalities to ensure that governance indicators and assessment findings were accurately reflected in the system.

Through a robust and updated CapDevAS database, DILG XI is better positioned to design and implement evidence-based Capacity Development (CapDev) interventions that are responsive to the actual governance gaps of LGUs. By leveraging accurate data, the Department can strategically allocate resources, tailor technical assistance, and monitor effectiveness, ultimately helping LGUs achieve higher standards of excellence in public service delivery.
