DILG XI Regional Director Alex C. Roldan witnessed the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the 12 Barangay Committees against Trafficking-Violence against Women and Children (BCAT-VAWC) coming from the urban poor barangays of Davao City on July 27, 2023, held at San Pablo Parish, Juna Subdivision, Davao City, organized by the Tambayan Center for Children’s Rights.

The main objective of the said ceremony was to enable the BCAT-VAWCs to publicly declare their commitment to perform their role as front-liners in the fight against human trafficking and Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC).

DILG XI is hopeful that with the creation of the BCAT-VAWCs in the Region and the shared efforts of our communities, Rehiyon Onse will be able to create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children.
